What if education didn’t happen on a screen… but all around you?
At Sri Sri University in India, Polidomes delivered a next-generation projection dome designed to become the core of a new planetarium dome experience. This education dome creates the physical foundation for immersive projections, enabling institutions to build powerful, future-ready learning environments.
As part of a forward-thinking education project, the goal was clear: create a space where knowledge can surround the audience and turn complex topics into intuitive, visual experiences – from astronomy to data-driven storytelling.

Because before any projection begins…
you need the space that makes immersion possible.
The installation started with a precision-engineered geodesic structure, forming the backbone of the projection dome. A custom PVC membrane (approx. 800 m², 650 kg) was transported by air and manually carried to the third floor of the building by a team of 30 people. With each level measuring approximately 3.6 meters, this stage required detailed planning and coordination.
Once in place, the membrane was installed onto the structure, shaping the internal geometry of the dome and preparing it for future immersive projections.
The final step included the installation of a high-quality negative pressure projection liner, creating a seamless spherical surface – optimized as a professional base layer for any planetarium dome projection system.

The result is a fully prepared projection dome, ready to be equipped with projection technology and activated as a complete immersive environment.
Polidomes specializes in delivering high-performance projection domes and education domes that serve as the foundation for immersive experiences across education, science, and public engagement.
Because the future of learning isn’t flat.
It starts with space.
