In May 2015, for the first time ever, we had the opportunity to deliver a POLIDOMES promotional dome tent
to the United States. The spherical transparent structure, with an area of over 30 m2, was used as an exhibition stand during the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas. The Offshore Technology Conference is focused on technology for the exploration, exploitation and extraction of offshore crude oil and natural gas.

The Offshore Technology Conference, the world’s largest offshore fossil fuels industry event, attracts a large and demanding crowd every year. Every year, the fair is visited by over 80,000 people from all over the world, among them engineers, scientists and representative of companies engaged in the exploration and extraction of crude oil and natural gas.

In 2015, the OTC fair reached a record 2,500 exhibitors from over 100 countries – including GAZPROM, Shell, Petroleum and NASA. During the event, there were many discussion panels, as well as thematic presentations and training sessions – demonstrations of high pressure and high temperature operations, discussion blocks about new fibre-optic technologies, and discussions about geological drilling at very great depths, to name a few.

The debut of our transparent geo dome was doubly significant, as it was also the first time in the history of the OTC that an exhibition was organized inside a geodesic dome tent.

The happy new buyer of the POLIDOMES promotional dome tent was the Southern Procurement Services Company from Miami, Florida.

To best suit our client’s needs, we proposed a Polidome 30 with a panoramic, transparent cover and a shaded roof. Such a transparent geodesic tent is an unusual and elegant way to promote your brand or services.

Our POLIDOMES event tents have previously proved similarly valuable at the AGRO SHOW Fair as well as the Wod Kan Fair. For those events, POLIDOMES geodesic structures were provided to agribusiness companies such as Agrisem and Wavin.
